    Listen...Believe And Repent!
    Today’s Gospel:  Luke 10: 13-16

    REFLECTION
Everyone is called to be a missionary...to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to an unbelieving world.  Some missionaries travel around the world, others just stay in one's own particular place . If we are called to stay in one particular place, it is our task to bring the kingdom of God to the people in that area.  Jesus tells us: "You are the light of the world". You are also the light of your city! Believe that the Lord has prepared your own city (place) for you.

Sometimes the Lord's voice is not easy to hear. Jesus speaks softly, not crying out. The Lord often speaks most powerfully in "a still small voice".  Unbelievers believe only when they have heard a person talk about himself or  when somebody talks about another person and the works he has done.  If the gospel of Jesus is presented to them, there is always a chance for conversion. If they never hear a clear, powerful presentation of the good news about Jesus, then it will be hard for them to call on Him in Whom they have not believed.   A believer should tell unbelievers about Jesus so they too may believe in Him.

Once again we se see the call to listen, to see, to respond, to evangelize. We need to repent. We have sinned repeatedly but are hardly aware of it. We may not even feel very sorry. We are "hard and impenitent" (Rom 2:5). Hopefully, we will come to our senses when Jesus heals us. We have experienced Jesus and thus must go out and bring this great gift to others. Doing so, we will share in the kingdom of God.

Accept Jesus' call to go out into the "byroads" of your city and invite everyone you meet to go to Him.  No one ever caught any fish by staying at home. Let's listen, believe and repent.  Let us spread the good news and try to catch some big fish for Jesus.

    PRAYER
Lord, have mercy on me.  Forgive my unbelief.  I am at your disposal, use me to bring Your kingdom here on earth as it is in heaven.  In Jesus’ Name we pray.  Amen.
