Today’s Gospel:
Luke 11:27-28
REFLECTION The identity of the woman in today’s Gospel was never revealed; probably she was an impressionable Jewess who had watched with increasing interest. When her admiration had been greatly aroused, she made her statement that the woman who nursed Jesus must be blessed. The Lord did not scold her neither did He deny the truth of her remarks. Appreciating the sincerity of her soul He directed her thoughts to higher and greater goals. There was nothing wrong in her confession, but had she followed through to the end along the pathway outlined by the Master her admiration might have become adoration. Today’s Reading: Gal 3:7-14 PRAYER Lord, truly your earthly parents were so blessed for having you in their custody as you were growing up. Remind us also to bless and honor our biological parents, but more so our Heavenly Parent. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen. |
